All of our Mission programs have a place for you and your talents. Church is not where we attend; the church is where we participate to glorify God, to nurture each other, and to extend God’s love to the world. There is a place for you, too! CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

MATTHEW 25 MINISTRIES
On Tuesday, June, 23rd 2020 the Session of Southminster Presbyterian Church approved a motion by the Mission Team to become a Matthew 25 Church. Matthew 25:31-46 calls on us all to actively engage in the world around us, and asks us to act boldly and compassionately to serve people who are hungry, oppressed, imprisoned or poor.
Matthew 25 ministry asks us to embrace one or more of these three tenets:
Building Congregational Vitality by challenging people and congregations to deepen their faith and get actively and joyfully engaged with their community and the world.
Dismantling structural racism by advocating and acting to break down the systems, practices and thinking that underlie discrimination, bias, prejudice and oppression of people of color.
Eradicating systemic poverty by working to change laws, policies, plans and structures in our society that perpetuate economic exploitation of people who are poor.
